We’re a friendly and active church in the centre of Headington, made up of all sorts of people from all over the world.Out of delight in Jesus Christ, we seek to know him, share him and serve him in the community and the world. This means we seek to REACH OUT with the gospel so that people are saved in ever-increasing numbers, BUILD UP the congregation as we serve one another and grow like Jesus, and SEND OUT members and mission partners to serve Jesus faithfully around the UK and the world.
The purpose of the St Ebbe’s Headington Ministry Trainee Scheme is to enable volunteers to make great progress in their Christian character and convictions and develop in their competencies in a wide range of practical and gospel ministry related skills.
It is in response to the call of Jesus to “pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:38). While some may be considering full-time gospel ministry, we recognise that it is of great benefit to the individual trainees and future churches, to grow in ministry skills, experience and gifts, whatever trainees progress to next. The training programme is therefore designed to be broad as well as deep to meet this purpose within the following three areas: Training & Development, Ministry Opportunities, and Practical Experience.
