Hope Church Goldington is a growing, FIEC-affiliated church in Bedford. We have around 40 adults and over 20 children on Sundays. We are committed to loving God, loving others, and telling people the good news about Jesus.
We are looking for someone with a passion for young children knowing the Lord, and some experience of teaching the Bible with a focus on Jesus, to lead the growing children’s ministry in the church.
The role is suitable for someone who loves the Lord Jesus and is passionate about teaching children about Him from the whole Bible. This role will also equip the post-holder for further gospel ministry in the future through formal training, either the Cornhill Training Course in London or TEAM in Cambridge.
The main duties of the role would be as follows:
• Be a committed member of the church family by, among other things, attending and participating in Sunday services, and a midweek home group
• Be an active member of the staff team by, among other things, attending and participating in the weekly staff prayer and planning meetings
• Regular teaching of the children’s classes (ages 0 to 4, and 5 to 10) at church on a Sunday
• Leading upfront children’s Bible talks
• Involvement in or leading a holiday Bible club
• Regular involvement in planning and delivering the Bible clubs and assisting the Pastor with R.E lessons at Wilden and Sharnbrook schools
