Apprenticeships are designed as a testing of the water of ministry and offer some training, but at the end, if some sort of full or part time gospel ministry is for you, what sort of further training is on offer? Or what if you are unable to do an apprenticeship, is there any training available to help in the gospel ministry you do alongside working?

Training in Word ministry is vital for current and future ministry. It gives a grounding in the Word, help in handling it and getting it across in teaching and preaching. It also builds foundations in Christian doctrine that can last a lifetime.

There are many options of what and how to study. Some of them will not be right for everybody and any training should be undertaken in prayerful consideration with church leaders if possible.

Distance Learning – own pace from very short to long

Ministry Training Courses – one day per week over one or two years

Cornhill Training Course – full-time over one year or part time over two years

Theological Colleges – full-time over three or four years
