St Mary’s Maidenhead is looking for two apprentices to join our thriving town centre church in September 2008. St Mary’s is an evangelical church with a heart for reaching out to others and building up believers in Christ. All age groups are represented in the church and this mixture produces a range of opportunities and challenges. In particular, we have an extensive children’s and youth ministry. The Apprenticeship Scheme seeks to: enable people to serve God and His people through local church work, equip individuals for lifelong discipleship and gospel ministry and help individuals to explore the possibility of future full time word ministry.

The post is a two year appointment with an opportunity to develop:-

A Christ-like character: through servant-hearted ministry, personal accountability and working within a church staff team
Knowledge of God and His ways: this includes a formal programme with the South Central Ministry Training Course, run at St Ebbe’s, Oxford
Skills in Gospel ministry: by being involved in a variety of practical church ministries - youth work, children, schools, discipleship, evangelism, training and leadership skills

We are looking for two apprentices to join our team. The post is normally a two year appointment. The apprentices work directly under the Youth Pastor as their Line Manager. Accommodation will be provided by the church; bills and expenses will be paid and a living allowance of £333 per month (£4,000 per year) will be given.
