About Christ Church Clifton

The church is located in northwest Bristol about a mile and a half from the city centre and within half a mile of the University of Bristol. The Parish population comprises of families, singles, students and older retired people. Although broadly affluent, the accommodation profile of the Parish also attracts people with a variety of social needs.

We are a church of about one thousand people, gathered mainly from North West Bristol. Our aim is to respond to the Great Commission, reaching out to all people. We want to “proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ” (Colossians 1:28).

We seek to live under the authority of Scripture as God’s Word and we have a strong preaching ministry. Whether in our smaller group meetings or larger services, we encourage each other to take the Bible seriously and respond to the leading of God’s Spirit in applying it to our lives. We seek to engage with Bible teaching that is challenging, incisive and relevant, to be equipped for service in the world as well as in the Church.
